Counselling
Sometimes we are very sure about why we are seeking counselling and sometimes it simply isn’t that clear-cut; something just doesn’t feel right within us. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, supportive environment for clients to explore, understand and start to resolve troubling feelings, thoughts and emotional issues. These issues may be rooted in current, recent and/or childhood experiences. My role is to work with you to recognise the many contributing factors and could include considering different perspectives, identifying alternative ways of thinking and making changes towards achieving your goals - you determine if, when and how. Counselling is about healing but also acceptance, personal growth and development: Whilst it can sometimes feel challenging, it can also be inspiring and creative. I work face-to-face with adults (not couples or families) experiencing:-
Initial Phone Conversation - Free initial chat to provide you with an opportunity to briefly explain your reasons for seeking support, for me to understand your needs and to discuss how we may work together and potentially for how long. The session is also about identifying whether you think I am the right person for you. If we identify I'm not the right counsellor, I will endeavour to signpost you elsewhere. Counselling Sessions - £50 (60 mins) . Sessions are usually weekly, especially in the early stages, but I am happy to be flexible where possible. |
